Homestyle Cola Chicken Wings
A simple homestyle dish of chicken wings cooked with cola until glossy and flavorful.

Ingredients
- 10 chicken wings
- 1 can cola
- 2 to 3 scallions
- a small piece of ginger
- 1 star anise
- Shaoxing wine, to taste
- oyster sauce, to taste

Wash the chicken wings and make cuts on both sides. Put them in a pot to blanch. Add ginger slices, scallions, and an appropriate amount of Shaoxing wine. Once the water comes to a boil, cook for 2 minutes.

Remove the blanched chicken wings, rinse them briefly, and drain well for later use.

Heat a splash of oil in a pan and fry the chicken wings until both sides are golden. Then add scallions, ginger, and star anise.

Pour in the cola and add a little water. Add light soy sauce as needed for color. Season with oyster sauce and salt, then cover and cook until the sauce reduces.
